1951   CLT is formed (Original named as "Rhythms & Rhymes").
1952   First Public Show. First Feature : PICNIC.
1953   First FESTIVAL
1954   First Ballets- Aban Patua and Sat Bhai Champa. Visit to Delhi- CLT meets Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Neheru.
1956   Performance before UNESCO delegates in Delhi.
1960   Song of India performed before President Voroshilov.
1961   Visit to Delhi. Participation in Tagore Centenary Celebration at Santiniketan, Calcutta, Lucknow, Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Bombay.
1963   Foundation plaque of Aban Mahal laid on 14th November.
1964   CLT attends International Children's Theatre Conference at London and tours UK, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and Czechoslovakia  with  children  for  demonstration.

1965   Sri Samar Chaterjee founder member was invited to visit Paris for the conference of children theatre. CLT moves to its permanent home ABAN MAHAL on 14th November.
1968   Dr. K.P.S Menon, opens the "Biren Mancha" -the Aban Mahal stage.
1975   CLT's Silver Jubilee year - Grand celebration.
1976   CLT's special show at Teen Murti Bhavan, Delhi on Jawaharlal Nehru's Birthday in presence of the President Dr. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, Vice President Shri. B.D.Jattiand and Prime minister Smt. Indira Gandhi.

1979   National Children's Festival, jointly with Sangeet Natak Akademi (Delhi)

1980   Pt. Ravi Shankar's visit to CLT campus.
1986   Irreparable loss to CLT on the demise of its founder Secretary Samar Chatterjee.

1987   Swami Lokeswarananda, Secretary Ram Krishna Mission Institute of Culture visits CLT festival.

1999   Sad demise of A. N. Kerr, the Hon. General Secretary and architect of the "Aban Mahal" building - the joy house for children.

2000   Year round Golden Jubiiee celebration of CLT
